My name is Barbara Smock – Babs for short. I was raised in the UK in the heart of a
large creative family. I spent most of my childhood either riding horses or drawing them.
I moved to the USA in my early 20s and my passion for horses was put on hold while
I concentrated on my family and job. In 1996 my husband reopened that old Pandora's box when he bought me my first horse. Any horse owner will know that you can't just have one, so we moved to new acreage and the Tally-Ho Arabians Horse Farm was born.
In 2005 I took an early retirement and started what has become my life's work as an artist.
I am a member of the Spring River Artist Guild, the Arkansas Artist Registry, the Eureka
Springs Artist Registry, and I am co-creator of the Ozarks Visual Arts Annual Showcase.
In 2008 I was asked to participate in "Le Cadeau Du Cheval", the traveling equine mural mosaic, exhibited across the USA and Canada. You can see it
here.
My artwork can be found in private collections in the US, Canada and Europe.
